Project Description
Green River Paddle Trail
The Green River Paddle Trail begins at the spillway below the Green River Lake Dam and includes parts of the Little Barren River and Russell Creek and offers canoeing, bird and wildlife watching, fishing, hunting, and other recreational activities. The Little Barren and Green River are two of the top 25 recommended streams in Kentucky for smallmouth bass fishing.
Scenic River Paddling
The Green River Paddle Trail provides convenient access to several points on the river from which a paddling expedition may begin. Trip times vary according to the initial point of entry and distance traveled, but range from an hour to overnight. Mammoth Cave National Park can also be reached by following the river.
